Lead Advisor – North America (Global Expansion & FDI Strategy)

With over 15 years of experience in international trade, market entry advisory, and cross-border business development, Sonja Müller brings deep expertise in supporting global companies as they expand into new markets. As the Lead Advisor for the North American market at T&A Consulting, she drives the firm’s foreign direct investment (FDI) and trade promotion initiatives across the region, supporting governments and enterprises seeking to build strategic ties with India.

Sonja began her career in industrial automation at ICS Triplex ISaGRAF, supporting global sales operations and international trade shows across Europe and North America. She later advanced into enterprise solutions at Nakisa, where she collaborated with major partners such as SAP and Oracle. Her early exposure to cross-border operations shaped her understanding of how companies navigate international growth pathways and helped her develop a strong foundation in stakeholder management.

During her seven-year tenure at the Swiss Business Hub Canada, she supported more than a hundred Swiss SMEs in assessing Canadian market potential, leading market assessments, export readiness evaluations, and opportunity mapping across sectors such as cleantech, fintech, manufacturing, and industrial technology

At T&A Consulting, Sonja leverages her industry insights, analytical rigour, and international experience to strengthen FDI outreach, generate high-value leads, and support North American organisations in evaluating and engaging with customers in strategic growth markets. She is fluent in English, French, and German.

Outside of her professional work, she enjoys exploring investment strategies, reading fiction and Montreal history, and contributing to science and innovation initiatives through her children’s school community.
